Three Minute Thesis 2022
I was the Three Minute Thesis Faculty winner for Social Sciences and University Finalist in 2022. I presented my research on the experiences of Jewish, Christian, and Muslim vegans in the UK to an audience of postgraduate research students and academics at the University of Southampton and I only had 3 minutes to do it.
Webinar for the Vegan Society
In July 2022, I presented a webinar for The Vegan Society's On The Pulse webinar series on my research and my research area more broadly: Veganism and Abrahamic Religion.
Green Islam
I have also co-founded an international non-profit organisation which strives to highlight the incompatibility between modern consumption and lifestyle practices with Islamic teachings, in turn seeking to inspire Muslims to re-engage and act in accordance with the ethical spirit of Islam.
